You're too Gay to Work Here
This article from the Southern Voice makes a great point. Many people assume that firing someone based on sexual orientation is illegal. It is legal in 33 states of our good old U.S. of A.
Passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act is overdue. I'll be calling my representatives to ask them what they're doing to move this along.
States that prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity:
California
Hawaii
Illinois
Maine
Minnesota
New Jersey
New Mexico
Rhode Island
Washington
(The District of Columbia also prohibits such discrimination.)
