ROCKFORD, Ill. - Winnebago County authorities have identified a Rockford man who died while in police custody as 29-year-old Ernest Graves.(h/t TNT)
Police say Graves was hit with a stun gun three times during his arrest after a domestic disturbance early Wednesday.
Winnebago County Coroner Sue Fiduccia says an autopsy done Wednesday by her office found that Graves had cocaine, alcohol and marijuana in his system.
Rockford Police Chief Chet Epperson says officers answered a domestic disturbance call shortly after midnight and spotted Graves as he was fleeing from the scene. Graves was apprehended after being shot with a Taser.
