Close to Medical Attention

Talk about tasing an at-risk population... At least the taser victims will be close to the medical attention they'll likely need:
BANGOR, Maine — Without objection, the Bangor City Council voted Monday to accept funding from Eastern Maine Medical Center to purchase an electronic control device [Electronic control device? That's cute, almost. Do they mean an electric fence? An extension cord with exposed wires? A car cigarette lighter? What a pleasant lead paragraph.] that city police officers can use to subdue unruly patients inside the emergency room.
Tasers in hospitals - better than tasers on police belts.
