I've written before about the dangers of overzealous police using tasers (here, here, here, and here). A traveler to Vancouver is dead after four police surrounded the unarmed man and, outside of British Columbia Police guidelines, tasered him multiple times. The video:
Is this a case where departmental guidelines were ignored in the heat of the moment? Or, are the guidelines optional for BC officers? I hope this case is dissected to great detail. Guidelines or not, someone is dead from multiple tasering by the police and taser use is on the rise in BC.
