DADT Really Should Go

Early next year legislation will be introduced to repeal Colin Powell's "don't ask don't tell" policy. It would be great if Meehan's legislation goes forward. Here's a list of countries that allow gay people to openly serve in the military:

Argentina
Australia
Austria
The Bahamas
Belgium
Canada
Colombia
Czech Republic
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
France
Germany
Hungary
Ireland
Israel
Lithuania
The Netherlands
New Zealand
Norway
Poland
Romania
Slovenia
South Africa
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
Taiwan
Thailand
United Kingdom
How disturbing is it the the US is behind places like Colombia and South Africa (where gays can marry, btw)?
