Remember this is the party and state (governor for 6 years) of our current president. Their platform is the stuff of Orwellian nightmares (only they do it with a starry-eyed smile).

While I'm on the topic, I've been checking out The Brights. They're a group of humanists trying to call to political action people who don't want religion in their government. I've signed up at the site, but haven't heard too much so far.
